Acceptable Use / Content Policy for SoccQR
This Acceptable Use / Content Policy explains what is and is not allowed when using SoccQR products and services, including QR tags, accounts, tag pages, messaging tools, public scan pages, and related features.
By using SoccQR, you agree to follow this policy.
1. Purpose of the Platform
SoccQR is intended to help users identify, manage, and support the return of soccer balls and similar items through QR-enabled tags and related account tools.
You may use SoccQR only for lawful, honest, and appropriate purposes.
2. You Are Responsible for Your Content
You are responsible for any text, images, names, labels, messages, team information, contact information, or other content you upload, submit, display, or associate with a SoccQR tag or account.
This includes content visible on public tag scan pages.
You should only upload content you have the right to use and that is appropriate to make available through the Services.
3. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, post, transmit, display, or otherwise use SoccQR to publish content that:
- is false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive
- impersonates another person or entity
- includes private or confidential information you do not have permission to share
- infringes any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights
- is defamatory, threatening, abusive, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory
- is obscene, sexually explicit, exploitative, or otherwise inappropriate
- promotes violence, self-harm, illegal conduct, or dangerous activity
- includes malware, malicious code, or harmful links
- is intended to scam, phish, spam, or manipulate others
- is unrelated to legitimate tag identification or appropriate platform use in a way that harms the platform or others
4. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use SoccQR to:
- break any law or regulation
- harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone
- scrape, copy, or harvest data from the platform without authorization
- interfere with site operations, security, or performance
- attempt unauthorized access to any system, account, or data
- create fake accounts or misleading identities
- use a tag or public scan page to direct users to illegal, unsafe, or abusive material
- submit knowingly false finder reports or fake recovery messages
- use the platform for spam, mass marketing, or unrelated commercial solicitation
- misuse contact tools to bother, deceive, or exploit other users
5. Public Tag Pages
Because SoccQR tags may create public-facing scan pages, you must be especially careful about what you make visible.
You may not post:
- sensitive personal information you do not want exposed publicly
- another person's private contact information without permission
- content that creates a safety risk for a child or other person
- misleading ownership claims
- false emergency claims or fake lost-item scenarios
If you manage a tag for a child or on behalf of a team, you are responsible for ensuring that public-facing content is appropriate and lawful.
6. Children and Youth Use
If a parent, guardian, coach, or team administrator manages a SoccQR account or tag for a minor, that adult is responsible for the content, settings, and public visibility choices made through that account or tag.
Do not use public tag pages to expose unnecessary personal information about minors.
7. Enforcement
We may review, remove, restrict, disable, or refuse content or accounts that we believe violate this policy, our Terms of Service, applicable law, or the safety and integrity of the platform.
We may also suspend or terminate access to the Services for repeated or serious violations.
We are not obligated to host, maintain, or restore any content that violates this policy.
8. Reporting Violations
If you believe content or activity on SoccQR violates this policy, contact us at:
