If you need a location without a finder taking action, investigate an electronic locator and its coverage. If you want automatic performance measurements, look for a purpose-built sports sensor. SoccQR's strength is helping an honest finder return a misplaced ball.
A traceable soccer ball needs a connection between the equipment and someone who can identify or return it. A number on a team list can provide that connection within the club. A readable contact label or a SoccQR return page gives a stranger another route to the owner.

Apple describes AirTag as a Bluetooth item finder that uses nearby Find My network devices to relay its location. Lost Mode can also make contact information available through an NFC-capable phone. That is different from a camera-scanned QR return page.
For a gear bag, an electronic finder may be useful. For the ball itself, consider how any rigid attachment would be secured and whether it is suitable for play. No. SoccQR's optional player journal uses activities and reflections entered by the player. The physical tag does not measure movement or performance.
